 Configure Global Rule Type
Description:
The following tutorial will explain the usage of “Global Rule Type” which allows you define more general rules to control your flow in the system (i.e. set values and send general/global notification).

Scenario:
Notification will be send to QA manager and Dev manager about every showstopper open in the system.Steps:
1. Login to informUp as administrator and open the administrator panel.

2. Click on Manage Rules button and select from “Rules Type” dropdown the “Global” option.

3. Add new “AND” condition and click on it (AND entry will get blue background).

4. Click on Add Rule button, this will enable you to add new rule (condition) that will be avulate before executing the action. in our example we what to know when severity for any item in the system will become showstopper.

5. Click on Add Action button, will enable you to execute an action once the condition/rule will trigger.
a. Set Value action; give the ability to set new value for selected field. i.e. once business priority become critical set general bug priority to critical also and vice versa.
b. Send Email action, give the ability to send notifications to contact person/email address, in our example send mail to QA manager and Dev manager on every item that become showstopper.
